The Poem Archives #2: My Eternal Bride

This second poem from the archives takes me back to my first love. Hope you enjoy it!

MY ETERNAL BRIDE

Your passion invades my heart Like a thief in the night

Stealing my soul Before there’s a chance of a fight

Your love is like a flaming arrow Pinned through my heart

Burning, yet soothing As it slowly tears me apart

Your eyes burn holes in my skin With your ever-loving gaze

Leaving me speechless, helpless In a never-ending daze

Your voice sounds so melodic As it calls me to your side

Leaving me only to want you as My eternal bride
